As a proven solutions provider of wind driven shipping technologies, North Windships leverages the combined expertise and resources of the North Technology Group – home to renowned marine brands including North Sails, Southern Spars, Future Fibres and RigPro.

During the summit, North Windships will showcase a range of cutting-edge technologies and data driven consultancy services to help operators deliver on the 2023 IMO Strategy on Reduction of GHG Emissions from Ships.

DynaRig – The DynaRig system stands as a proven and reliable solution for wind-assisted propulsion, particularly suited for large vessels. Featuring free-standing, rotating masts with integrated sail handling, it offers a fully automated, push-button operation that simplifies sail management and reduces crew requirements.

WindWise – A software solution designed to identify and optimise viable wind propulsion systems and installation strategies on commercial vessels. This comprehensive cost-benefit analysis tool integrates the hull shape with the identified wind propulsion system(s), along with customised routing and operational parameters. This provides commercial ship builders and operatories with valuable insights on contemplated wind shipping solutions.

Windship Consultancy Services – The North Windships team specialises in all aspects of sailing systems and advanced composite design to support fleet managers, naval architects and ship owners navigate their wind-driven projects with world-leading expertise. Services include commercial due diligence, concept validation, and vessel performance predictions.

North Windships has secured multiple supply agreements with a range of commercial operators. This includes the design, construction and installation of a twin masted DynaRig on a leading NGO’s 75 metre oceanography vessel and the world’s largest 57 metre wind driven explorer catamaran.
